New Riff Single Barrel Bourbon (Caskers Staff Pick)

About New Riff Single Barrel Bourbon (Caskers Staff Pick)
The Single Barrel collection from New Riff is really something special. Every barrel of their Single Barrel Bourbon offers a unique flavor profile yet they’re all high-rye, full-bodied Whiskeys that bring savory and spicy flavors to the table. Every bottle is bottled at cask strength and none of them are chill filtered. The Caskers staff personally picked barrel No. 8065 for you. Bottled at 51.85% ABV, this one features a mash bill of 65% corn, 30% rye, and 5% malted barley. It was aged for 4 years in 53-gallon toasted and charred new oak barrels. Why did we pick out this exact one for you? We thought you’d love the full mouthfeel, sweet vanilla accents, and just the right amount of rye spice, clove, cinnamon, mint, and dark berry just as much as we did.
New Riff Kentucky Bourbon was founded in 2014 by whiskey visionary Ken Lewis a liquor retailer and entrepreneur. Leading a band of corpo refugees Lewis and his team have crafted a range of whiskeys from bourbon, rye, malted rye, and a host of specialty recipes to their Kentucky Wild Gin. On a mission to become one of the world’s great small distilleries, New Riff is an independently owned by a single family; this freedom allows more room for creativity, innovation, and overall quality production of spirit.
Bottled without chill-filtration, they stand behind this combination of classic “American entrepreneurship and ingenuity; passion and knowledge born from one of the world’s great spirit regions, and a talented team individually committed to doing things the right way.” New Riff Distilling’s core Bourbon expression is a genuinely high-rye, full-bodied whiskey delivering a savory, spicy character.
